Main Ingredients

 

Hydrolyzed Pea Protein is primarily made of a high concentration of peptides (low molecular weight proteins) and free amino acids from Pisum sativum, and the main nutritional actives are high contents of the essential and branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) leucine, isoleucine, valine, lysine, and arginine. The peptide matrix (low molecular weight peptide) is the most important functional and nutritional fraction, since the peptide chain is broken down in an optimal manner; specifically, the length of the peptide chain is optimized, leading to high physiological availability and rapid gastrointestinal uptake, compared to intact protein sources. In addition to this basic peptide profile, the raw material has small amounts (minor) of functional fractions that include globulin and albumin derivatives that help explain its structural emulsifying properties and surface-active behaviour in food and food beverages. This unique amino acid distribution and peptide profile is used by industrial formulators to provide dietary formulations, clinical nutrition supplements, and recovery drinks with essential Nitrogen and Amino building blocks. Manufacturing Pathway

 

1. Raw Material Slurry Preparation:

The pea protein isolate powder is blended to develop a homogeneous protein suspension using optimized solids concentration by a systematic blending process conducted under controlled temperature and agitation conditions of purified industrial water.

2. Enzymatic Hydrolysis:

Then endopeptidases or exopeptidases (specific proteases from plants or microorganisms) are added to the mixture under carefully controlled thermal and pH conditions, which effects the systematic breakdown of the large protein structures to lower-molecular-weight peptides and free amino acids.

3. Enzyme Inactivation:

The reaction mixture is then subjected to a quick hydrolysis stop step, either by changing pH or by heating, to stop further hydrolysis when the desired degree of hydrolysis and molecular weight distribution is achieved.

4. Purification and Filtration:

Liquid hydrolysate is fed into multi-stage industrial filtering and centrifuging systems to remove all of the insoluble fractions, producing a clear and purified peptide liquor.
